Tips for Implementing Health Reform in Your Company

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is now law. This is a far reaching law, both in content and in length. There are going to be major changes in our health care delivery system for everyone in the United States. No one will escape the effects of this law, except perhaps a few politicians in Washington! Employers, insurance companies, medical providers and individuals are all going to be impacted.

What are we supposed to do now? How do you implement it?  It is important that you prioritize the various requirements of PPACA in order to determine what must be done. It is important that we set priorities on implementation.

Everyone understands the magnitude of PPACA and most people feel that it will have a major impact on the way we receive our health care and how we finance it. There are various components to the new law and the implementation takes place over the next ten years. There are many “triggers” every year between now and 2020. It is important that you develop a list of steps that you must take in order to implement PPACA in your company and your health plan.
